About

Understanding the person as a whole, past and present.

I combine the depth of a psychodynamic approach with a responsive, safe therapeutic relationship shaped around each person’s needs.

Education and approach

I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Middle East Technical University (Ankara) as an honor student. I am currently at the thesis stage of the Clinical Psychology Master’s program (English track) at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul.

The topic of my Clinical Psychology specialization thesis is: “Ongoing Complex Trauma Among Survivors of the February 6, 2023 Earthquakes: The Role of Unmet Psychosocial Needs and Complicated Grief.”

I provide counseling based on psychodynamic (psychoanalytic) theory and practice, and I actively participate in weekly psychodynamic supervision for last two years.

I work with adults using a psychodynamic approach—in both Turkish and English—conducting sessions primarily face-to-face, though I also work online when necessary.

During my master's studies, I also completed training in trauma, complex trauma, grief, and addiction.

Additionally, during my undergraduate studies in Psychology, I completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoanalytic Therapy (Lacanian), Schema Therapy, and the administration of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).

I am advancing in the psychodynamic approach—which aims to analyze the underlying causes of symptoms and complaints as well as the meaning of existence, while addressing the individual holistically, encompassing their past and present, mind and body—through both my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and professional training programs.

Additionally, I am progressing toward certification in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy; I have currently completed the Level 1 and Level 2 training courses.

Between 2026 and 2028, I will continue my professional development with training in Existential Analysis (Existential Academy of Istanbul – Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe). This process will be invaluable, both for the progress of my own personal analysis and for the contributions it will make to me and my clinical practice.

I am a member of the Turkish Alzheimer Association and serve as a volunteer psychologist at training and support meetings for caregivers of Alzheimer's patients.

In my therapeutic approach, I aim to combine a sensitive perspective that addresses the individual's needs with psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches.
